One Night Stand Series: Part 1

Location, location, location:

I gave you tips to survive a friends with benefits series.

Now here's how to smoothly succeed in a one night stand...

One night stands are definitely less complicated but there's the potential for more danger (in my opinion). It all depends on how the one night stand relationship was formed.

Where to Find your One Night 1/2
While you should be careful in some locations, these have the potential to work out for you in a one-night stand ring.

Bars Typical place, but it works.
Clubs
Weddings You probably have mutual friends, or you might not. However, this person is more than likely not a psychopath and also he/she most likely will not be cheating if they came alone.
Parties
Planned Event I didn't know how to categorize this, but basically this can include sporting events, plays, musicals, shows, concerts, something where your adrenaline might be high but communication will not be as much as a dinner or something.

When to say NO

Drunk as a skunk The potential 1/2 is TOO intoxicated and well UNaware of her/his surroundings. It's definitely not a good idea to pick this person. Even if it's just a one night stand, there's no need to take advantage of someone. And besides, do you really want to rub his head or hold her hair back as she vomits in the toilet...not a turn on!

Quick to Commit It's good if you both are in agreement that this is just a one night stand. The risks are definitely lower than friends with benefits of falling hard for someone. However, if you're chatting the other up, and he/she starts talking about "the future" or "seeing you again," then this is not just a one night stand to them. Rethink what you want, or get out!

Anyone you see Frequently This includes bosses, co-workers, your best friend, your best friend's brother/sister. Yeah, I know you were considering them! This is more of the friends with benefits realm, and actually more of the complicating a fwb relationship. This may create tension, become awkward, or if the one night stand is a disaster night, there could be worse repurcussions: ended friendships, ruined working relationships.. anything.. It's just too risky.
