Is that considered prostitution?
I'm going to go with no, unless, perhaps it's your boss. The line in that department can be very thin.
Anyways, is sex at work an issue of ethics? I say not, but this I'm sure is different for every person.
Is it appropriate? Probably not. Then again, a lot of things are inappropriate.
This cheesy video will give you step-by-step how to pursue having sex at work:
Here is the step-by-step advice from the video:
1. Choose your partner carefuly: Dating the boss could ruin your rep. While the video suggests perhaps someone lower, I don't think you need to go necessarily for the dude scraping the gum from under the tables.
2. Keep it a secret: Come to an agreement with your partner.
3. Location, location, location: Find a place where it's not obvious (especially during hours). At the same time, you want to be comfortable.
4. If you're gonna be loud, cover up the sound: Yep, the rest of your co-workers do not need to hear your noises. Simple enough.
5. Get down to business: Do it!
Some other things to remember:
-It's a risk. You could lose your job and reputation. Be prepared with a back-up plan.
-Make sure you know the person well. Trust is important.
-Still be safe. Wear protection.
-Make sure you both want the same thing. Don't go into it expecting a relationship when the other person just wants a good lay.
